Jenny is based in the West of Ireland, having lived in Galway since 1995. Her formal musical training began at the age of thirteen with the Wexford School of Music with whom she performed in many Wexford Opera Festival productions, Feis Ceoil competitions and of course school productions. She is a former member of the renowned Galway Baroque Singers, performing with them and the National Symphony Orchestra in Leisureland, Galway.
A classically trained soprano, Jenny has also played the piano since the age of four. As both a singer and pianist/keyboardist she has worked as a studio session musician, with various cover bands, and as a house pianist and entertainer in Galway hotels such as the Radisson, the Clayton, Salthill Hotel and St. Clerans, and Schooner’s Restaurant, Salthill where she was the resident pianist for two years. She also holds a qualification in sound engineering and from her home studio has produced and arranged various original demos of both her own and other original Galway musicians work, as well as being a session vocalist and keyboardist on recent original recordings.
Having worked as a wedding musician for over a decade, Jenny has a wealth of experience in dealing with engaged couples, always with a keen awareness of how each and every wedding she plays is unique and therefore, each couple's requirements are top priority for getting your music exactly right for you.
In 2009 she supported The Waterboys in the Glor Theatre, Ennis, as part of an original duo. She has twice been chosen as a Finalist in Today FM’s Beat the Original competition with her self-produced recordings aired on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show.
